FIFA increase Africa's slot in expanded 2026 World cup from 5 to 9

Football governing body FIFA has increased the slots of every continent participating in the expanded 2026 World Cup.This came after  FIFA voted unanimously to expand the World Cup to a 48-team tournament in 2026.
   The new format will see the finals comprising 16 groups of three teams each with the top two teams from each group progressing to a 32 team knockout stage.
    FIFA has therefore increased the slots for every continent participating in the tournament.
