GLO-CAF Awards:Iwobi,Iheanacho,Oshoala vie for honours as organizers release list of nominees
Organizers of the GLO-CAF awards,CAF have released the nominees for the 2016 edition of the awards.Though Nigeria has no representative in the African PLayer of the year category, the country can take solace in the nomination of youngsters Iwobi,Iheanacho and Asisat Oshoala in fresh categories.
Iwobi is nominated in the 'Youth player of the year' category while Iheanacho is nominated in the 'Most promising talent' category.
Other Nigerian nominees are the reigning women champions,the Super Falcons and their team coach Florence Omagbemi who are nominated in the 'Women's national team of the year' and 'Coach of the year' categories respectively.The winners will be announced at the GLO-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday January 5,2017 in Abuja,Nigeria.
